What happened
On July 10–11, 2021, OptionRoom was among projects affected when the ChainSwap cross-chain bridge was exploited. Reporting says the attacker stole and minted tokens for bridge users, including OptionRoom, then sold stolen tokens through decentralized exchanges. OptionRoom said it removed and secured DEX liquidity after learning of the attack, issued a warning not to trade ROOM, and later returned emergency-recovered liquidity to PancakeSwap while compensating liquidity providers.
The project described the potential $800,000 impact as reduced to a $38,000 loss.
