Goldbank Finance Hack
Incident Overview
Goldbank Finance was exploited in an exit scam, with liquidity and token drain amounting to 75,239 $USD.
Goldbank Finance (GB) is a token trading on SushiSwap on the Arbitrum chain. The deployer removed liquidity from the pool, acquiring 27,414 $USD and 884,557 $GB. Another EOA address, suspected to be owned by the same deployer, altered the implementation of the UniTroller contract, sending 49,000,000 $GB tokens to the deployer.
Consequently, the deployer drained a substantial amount of liquidity from the SushiSwap pool in a single transaction, receiving 47,825 $USD. The stolen amount was then moved through multiple addresses post-incident, resulting in a total loss of approximately 75,239 $USD.

What the Attacker Needed to Succeed
Understanding the prerequisites for this type of attack helps auditors identify protocols that are most at risk and helps developers build better defenses.
What Auditors Should Check
If you're auditing a protocol with similar architecture to Goldbank Finance, these are the critical security checks that could have prevented this incident (June 2023).
- Verify all logic paths related to Rugpull are guarded by proper access controls and input validation
- Review privileged functions (owner, admin, governance) for potential abuse vectors - centralization risks should be documented and bounded with timelocks or multi-sigs
