What happened

On June 11, 2023, TrustTheTrident's SELLC token on BNB Chain was exploited for roughly $104,000. OKLink's June incident roundup attributes the loss to a price attack against the Miner contract's sendMiner() method, which allowed the attacker to inflate the calculation used for a payout. The report identifies exploit transaction 0xe968e648b2353cea06fc3da39714fb964b9354a1ee05750a3c5cc118da23444b and attacker address 0x0060129430df7ea188be3d8818404a2d40896089.

How it happened

  1. The attacker targeted the Miner contract's sendMiner() reward path.
  2. They manipulated the relevant price input so the contract's payout calculation was inflated.
  3. The inflated calculation produced a payout from the Miner contract, yielding an estimated $104,000 profit.
