Uwerx Hack
What happened
Uwerx, a freelancing platform running on the Ethereum chain, was exploited on Aug 2, 2023, losing 174.78 ETH worth 324,254 USD.
The attacker targeted Uwerx via a Flashloan Attack and specifically exploited the protocol's skim and sync functions. These actions allowed the attacker to receive WERX tokens and drain funds from the UniSwap pool. The stolen funds were then swapped for native ETH and currently remain at the attacker's original address.
