What happened
South Korean exchange Yapizon has become the victim of hackers, reportedly losing 3,800 BTC in customer funds.
The exchange confirmed the theft of 3,831 Bitcoins, “equivalent to 37.08% of the total assets.”
“After many discussions, legal and accounting consultations and reviews, We have come to the conclusion that it should be applied fairly to all members. It is also the most common way to go through the liquidation process. The loss of 37.08% will have the same effect on all members' assets.” -Yapizon said.
